Step back in time this May because The Diner is Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fond du Lac County’s Big Business of the Month! You’ll feel right at home when you walk through the doors of this 1950s-style restaurant. Not only will you find a menu full of delicious American classics, but you’ll also find a friendly atmosphere thanks to the proud owner, Sandy Ritchie. Throughout the month of May, The Diner will offer BIG specials, help connect new mentors with local youth, and host an activity for Littles.

The Diner is offering not one, but two specials during May: the BIG BURGER and the BIG BREAKFAST. The BIG BURGER consists of two quarter pound patties, four slices of bacon, two slices of American cheese, two slices of Swiss cheese, a sunny side up egg, and Sandy’s secret sauce all put together on a toasted bun. The BIG BREAKFAST contains three eggs on a bed of corn beef hash and hashbrowns. Both meals cost $9.99 each, with $1.00 from each sale directly supporting BBBS.

The deals don’t stop there! Anyone who signs up to be a Big during the month of May will receive a $25 gift certificate to The Diner. With reasonable prices and tasty dishes, this is the perfect opportunity for mentors to meet at The Diner and get to know their new friend. Gift certificates will be received after successfully completing the enrollment process and being paired with a Little.

The Diner is even opening their doors after-hours for an activity with Littles. Youth from Teen Group, an afterschool initiative to help local teens improve self-esteem and promote healthy relationships, will be visiting The Diner to decorate the mirrors along the interior of the restaurant. Customers will have the opportunity to vote on their favorite mirror, and the top artist will be awarded a special prize.

Head on over to The Diner anytime this month to enjoy a fresh meal while supporting a business committed to making a positive impact in the community.
