It’s amazing what a fresh coat of paint can do to brighten up a space! The community room at the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fond du Lac County office received a fresh makeover thanks to Envision Greater Fond du Lac’s Leadership Fond du Lac program.

Leadership FDL is a “community-based program that provides information and experience to individuals willing to make a lasting commitment of service to the city and county of Fond du Lac.” During the nine-month program, participants focus on team building and community problem solving.

This year, Team FIVES got busy enhancing the BBBS community room. Over the course of the project, they met with the BBBS team, painted walls, measured furniture, and even got to pick out some new games for our Littles. They organized fundraisers at local businesses like Papa Johns and Crumbl Cookies to raise money for the project.

In addition to helping us bring the color of the room to current brand standards, Team FIVES donated a variety of games, toys, sports equipment, art supplies, furniture, and storage units. They partnered with AL-INS Enterprises to create and install a brand-new metal “B” emblem for the wall. The room is even complete with a new projector and whiteboard for movie nights with our matches!

We can’t wait for Bigs and Littles to make lasting memories in the new space. Thank you to Envision Greater FDL and Team FIVES for making a difference and sharing your passion with us.
