Karrie Oelke has served on the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fond du Lac County Board of Directors since 2017. She’s currently board secretary and even became a Big Family in 2022.

Oelke’s expertise as the Marketing Officer at National Exchange Bank & Trust has lent itself to the many roles she’s taken on at BBBS over the last seven years. While Oelke is board secretary, she’s also a member of the community engagement pillar and co-chair of The BIG Event planning committee. Above all, her favorite role in the organization is, “supporting the future of the youth in our community.”

Growing up, Oelke loved playing Monopoly and wanted to be a teacher. Now, she supports youth in our community through her many volunteer efforts, including being a Big Family!

“There are more kids than you think on the wait list. It’s hard to find and keep mentors.”

Oelke, her husband, and two children were matched with Little Brother Dominic in 2022. Since being matched almost two years ago, the Oelke family and Little Brother Dominic have enjoyed spending time fishing, visiting Road America, and experiencing other fun adventures as a group.

In her free time, you can find Oelke attending various BBBS events or playing sand volleyball.
