Price: $20 – adults; students & children – free (single tickets sold at door for each concert)

On Thursday, Oct. 24, Church of Our Saviour will again be the location for the Philiomusica Quartet, the quartet-in-residence at Wisconsin Lutheran College.  True to their name, (philo – love of + musica – music), violinists Jeanyi Kim and Alexander Mandl, violist Nathan Hackett and cellist Adrien Zitoun, all members of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra,  formed the Quartet in 2008 in order to create an outlet for sharing and expressing their love of chamber music.

Now in its 24th and final season, the Pickett series was organized by Gainacopulos to honor Searl Pickett, the band director at St. Mary’s Springs High School in Fond du Lac from the 1950s until his death in 1982. A graduate of the Lawrence Conservatory, Pickett also taught clarinet students at several area colleges and was clarinet specialist at the UW-Madison Music Clinics in the 1950s. Searl Pickett inspired and challenged generations of musicians who came under his influence. Many of them are still teaching and performing as his legacy is passed to future generations.

Season tickets for all four concerts are $50 and will be sold at the first two concerts.  Single tickets are $20 at the door.

Students are admitted free!
