This free 100-minute program features a selection of all genres including animation, documentary, experimental, and narrative shorts from the Thomas Edison Film Festival’s 2021 touring collection. Films to be screened include Last Stop for Lost Property, by Vicente Cueto, Brooklyn, NY who will also give a brief recorded intro along with his producer Emily Packer talking about how they came to make their film. The Thomas Edison Film Festival was founded in 1981 as a tribute to Thomas Edison’s development of the motion picture at his laboratory, dubbed the “Black Maria” film studio, the first in the world, in West Orange, NJ. The Festival attracts and showcases the work of independent filmmakers internationally. It is an international juried competition celebrating all genres and independent filmmakers across the globe.
