Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fond du Lac County is excited to welcome Amy Samens to the Board of Directors!
Samens is a Retail Store Manager at Vern’s Cheese and she joined the BBBS board in November 2025. Both her professional and philanthropic experience bring a unique perspective to the team. She’s served as a mentor at BBBS numerous times as a Big Sister and as part of a Big Family in both the school-based and community-based programs.
She recently re-enrolled as a mentor in the community-based mentoring program. Samens and her new Little have enjoyed doing homework, coloring, drinking hot cocoa, eating pizza, and chatting at the B Hive, an afterhours hangout spot at the BBBS office where matches can spend time together.
“I love being a Big and making a difference in my Little’s life.”
Outside of work and volunteering, you can find Samens filling her free time with hobbies like diamond painting and crocheting.
