Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fond du Lac County has welcomed several new individuals to the Board of Directors over the past year, including City of Fond du Lac Fire Chief Erick Gerritson.
Gerritson became Fire Chief this year after being a career firefighter for over 28 years, 23 of which have been in Fond du Lac. He is credentialed as a Chief Fire Officer through Centers for Public Service Excellence and graduated from the Executive Fire Officer program through the National Fire Academy. Gerritson also brings with him a Master of Science in Leadership.
Married with two adult boys, Gerritson lives right here in the City of Fond du Lac. He’s excited to serve the area in yet another way in the city he calls home.
“I love helping people and my servant beliefs and leadership style allow me to be part of so many lives, hopefully making a positive impact and difference. Big Brothers Big Sisters is such a significant and wonderful organization, that I am honored to be a part of it and look forward to helping in any and every way possible.”
Gerritson has already made a big difference at BBBS, spending time with Littles from our waiting list and lending his voice to help recruit more volunteers.
