Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fond du Lac County is excited to welcome Fond du Lac School District’s Laurice Snyder to our Board of Directors!

Snyder is the District Equity Coordinator and Compliance Officer at Fond du Lac School District. She joined our board in January and brings her passion for social work, youth development, and equity in education to our team.

Not only does Snyder bring valuable experience to our agency through her line of work, but she knows firsthand what impact a mentor can have on a young person’s life as a past Big Sister herself. Snyder was matched with her Little Sister Raven in 2001, and they still keep in touch today over 20 years later!

“I joined the board because I believe in the incredible power of mentoring and the potential for lasting impact for everyone in the mentoring relationship. Mentoring centers right in the middle of one’s humility and another’s greatest potential.”

When she’s not busy supporting youth at work, making a difference in the community, or caring for her three young children; Snyder enjoys hiking, reading, and gardening.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fond du Lac County is a United Way Agency that assists children with social, emotional, and character development through one-to-one mentoring relationships with caring adults. The agency matches children with a Big Brother, Sister, Couple, or Family in a community or school-based program. Children aged 6-13 can enroll in the program through parent or guardian referral. For more information about the program or to volunteer, call (920) 922-8200 or visit www.bbbsfdl.org.
