Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fond du Lac County kicked off 30 Guys in 30 Days at THELMA Sadoff Center for the Art‘s Thirteen Thursdays on Thursday, August 18! There are 119 children waiting for a mentor in Fond du Lac County, and over 70 of them are young boys. This September, BBBS is on a mission to erase the wait by recruiting 30 new male volunteers in 30 days.

BBBS staff, board members and volunteers headed to Sheboygan Street to kick off the campaign with THELMA at their summer concert series. There was no shortage of entertainment with live music by The Whiskeybelles, food trucks, cash bars and games for all ages. Attendees could stop by the BBBS table for free can koozies, information on becoming a Big and a chance to enter a BIG giveaway. The lucky winner will take home prizes from local businesses like Kwik Trip, Fleet Farm, Ann the Barber and more!

THELMA Executive Director Shannon Kupfer welcomed BBBS on stage to talk about the 30 Guys in 30 Days campaign and the overwhelming need for male mentors in Fond du Lac and Northern Dodge Counties. By the end of the night, two new Bigs had stepped up to start the enrollment process!
