Tammy Young

Executive Director

I joined BBBS as the Executive Director in October of 2014.  I have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from UW – Oshkosh and have over 25 years of work experience focusing on sales and marketing with an emphasis on volunteer engagement.

Many people have heard me say, “I love my job!” Big Brothers Big Sisters is a program I am proud to be affiliated with as it directly impacts the lives of local children.  I became a Big Sister myself a little over a year ago and it’s THE BEST thing I have ever done.  Will you make time to make a difference today?

Lisa Warntjes

Enrollment and Match Specialist

I am the Enrollment & Match Specialist for the School Based Program at BBBS. I have a degree in Psychology and enjoy working with the variety of people I meet every day. My job is to recruit and screen high school students, college students and adult volunteers that will mentor a child during school hours. I keep in regular contact with each school based match, the child’s parents and teachers. It is rewarding to see how much a mentor can help improve a child’s attitude toward school and their relationships with both peers and adults.

I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Change and Development from UW-Green Bay and have twelve years of human services experience where I’ve developed a passion for helping children and families improve their lives.  “It is such meaningful work to nurture Big/Little relationships and support them as they have fun together and create lasting bonds.  Through regular contacts, I ensure the Big, the Little and Parent/Guardian are all having a safe & positive experience with the Big Brothers Big Sisters program.

I’m also very excited for my new role as Recruitment Specialist, which affords me the opportunity to connect with a variety of individuals & businesses to help spread the word about our BBBS mission and highlight ways people can get involved.”

My husband Chris and I live near Eden and have two children: Jackson, 11 years old and Becca 9 years old.

I joined BBBS as the Enrollment Specialist in June of 2021.  I have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from St. Norbert College and have six years of teaching experience and three years of non-profit experience as Literacy Coordinator matching tutors and students in an adult literacy program.

Working with children you realize the impact the individuals they interact with can make such a difference in their life. I am very excited and grateful to have this opportunity to meet our new Littles and Bigs as they enter our program and help them connect with someone who will make a positive, lasting impact – for both of them!
