Steve Leaman has been a changemaker on the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fond du Lac County Board of Directors since 2014. After nearly a decade of empowering potential, his time on the board is coming to an end this year.
Growing up, Leaman loved playing Monopoly and wanted to be a small business owner or entrepreneur, even running a few small businesses himself. Now, as Senior Vice President at Horicon Bank, Leaman has provided an invaluable entrepreneurial perspective to the board. Over the last nine years, he has opened doors and built relationships that will continue to support BBBS for years to come.
“It’s amazing to see the growth and change in the organization over the past decade, especially from where we started coming out of the Great Recession, and the adaptations during and coming out of the pandemic. There is a solid core staff that lives the mission of the organization and is great to work with, not to mention some incredible volunteers and an amazing board.”
Outside of volunteering and work, Leaman enjoys cruising with his family, exploring national parks, and even visiting Disneyland. He’s currently working through a #50B450 list of things he wants to do, see, or visit prior to his 50th birthday in January!
